Updated Payment Policies for MHCRF services.

Section IV: Payment and Fees
 
R. Room and Board Payments
  1. The current monthly room and board fee (Also known as rent) is $1354.67.
  2. Rent is due on the 1st of each month with a 7-day grace period including weekends and holidays.
  3. Rent paid after the 7th day will result in a $10.00 late fee.
  4. Returned payments will result in a $35.00 fee in addition to the late fee if received after 7 days.
  5. If a Representative Payee is responsible for resident finances, we will communicate with the rep payee on all financial matters.
  6. Repeated late payments or nonpayment may result in the following:
    1. Discharge from the MHCRF.
    2. Reported to DC Adult Protection Services for financial exploitation (If Resident have a rep payee).
    3. Past due amounts may be referred to a collection agency.
    4. Past due amounts may result to legal actions.
    5. Resident or Rep Payee will be responsible for any or all fees associated with collection agency, legal fees, and court fees.
  7. Community Works, LLC may accept or deny responsibility for Personal Allowance management.
  8. Community Works, LLC may reserve the right to increase, decrease, or make modifications to room and board rates and fees associated with the MHCRF.
  9. Community Works, LLC may accept the first payment via cashier check or money order. However, all remaining payments are to be made electronically.
  10. Payments can be made online at www.cwllc.org. Contact the management team for more instructions.
  11. Payments can be made in advance without penalty.
  12. Community Works, LLC must continue to accept payments if the resident’s belongings are still in the facility even after discharge as the room cannot be released until all belongings are moved out. In order to discard personal belongings, the resident or guardian must provide WRITTEN consent.
  13. Discharges are NOT final until WRITTEN consent if provided.
  14. Residents who move in without Optional State Payment from the District of Columbia must continue making partial payments and set aside $100.00/ month for personal allowance. All remaining funds must be used towards room and board until retro payments are received.
  15. Residents are not to wait until retro payments are received to make room and board payments. Any funds available must be paid to the program immediately even if it is partial payments until all balance are paid. Waiting until retro payments can result in discharge while funds are available.
